  12. I am trying to eliminate the dialing sound and the modem noise when
  13. dialing into netcom. I have a Phoenix v.34 28,800 modem and am
  14. operating under windows 95. I have standard 28,800 modem configured in
  15. windows 95 modem folder and I have generic high speed modem configured
  16. in my com lit software modem setting. In com lit I have the modem
  17. sound set to off and in windows 95 my modem sound is s et as low as
  18. possible since there is no off setting for a standard modem. When I
  19. changed my setting to "off" in the com lit program the next time I
  20. dialed into netcom I heard nothing however when I accessed it again
  21. the noise returned. Does anyone have any suggestion so I can dial into
  22. netcom quietly every time?
